This was while waiting to get her botox yesterday...She ended up having three appointments, the Botox being the last of them. She kept falling asleep. We got to see nuero yesterday seeing she has been having seizures at least once a week for the past two months. Typically Kennedy will have a few months of no seizures at all (unless sick) and then will have a long spell of them typically needing new meds to get her through the phase. These last couple of months have been very atypical for her. I haven't been sure how to feel about these. The rescue meds seem to stop them for about a week, but then they start up again. This is so much better than them continuing for weeks like normal. On the other hand normally when her seizures do stop we will not see much for a few months. So seeing she is on 5 seizure meds the doctor is admitting her next week and is going to clean out her meds. He said obviously her meds like they are are not working. They are interacting with each other too much and some levels are really high and others we cant seem to get high enough. So time to eliminate some and find a better concoction.
Oh I would be exhausted after 3 appts in one day too! Hope you get some answers about the meds and seizures.

ReplyDeleteWe love and Miss You Guys. I know you don't want to be away from the other kids while you are at the hospital but You know the Dr's need to get this taken care of. This will give Bob some extra Lauren Lovin while you are gone!!
