21 Day Weight Loss Challenge-Journal Day 2 #21MBC

I felt much busier today between doing more cares for the children, grocery shopping and parent teacher conference.  I have to say I was proud of myself.  I had about 20 minutes to spare between shopping and the conference, and drove right by McDonald's.  I absolutely love coke from McDonald's....I dont know if they add crack to it or what but it is one of my cravings.  I did NOT stop today.  Typically when I have free time and can stop at a drive thru to grab one, I would have, but I didn't do it today! 

Today I did spend time reading through the mindset and goal setting in the Fit Moms For Life book.  I spent some time thinking about where I want to be, writing some positive affirmations and some goals. 

My Affirmations:
~I am worth it!
~I can gain so much by losing a little!
~I can succeed!

My goals:
  • I have a goal to set a daily goal every day.  Todays was met, as it was to drink no soda today.
  • Weekly goal: Exercise at least 5 days this week and to try to do a plank for as long as I can every day.
  • Monthly goal:  lose 10 pounds, hold a plank for one minute, and to be able to do 10 pushups on my toes.
  • Yearly goal:  Lose the 40lbs I gained back
  • Long term goal:  By my 40th birthday I want to be the fittest I have ever been!

I also spent time taking my measurements and starting pictures.  I am not comfortable sharing these, but I'm going to do it anyways.  This way those that are reading can see where I am at....hey you might be able to relate, you might be able to give me guidance.

I did lots of grocery shopping tonight, and got tons of fresh produce.  I however ended up doing leftovers for dinner because I did not to get the grocery shopping in before dinner.  I also was so busy that I did not get my nightly workout in.  I did however do 15 minutes strength training using Lauren as my weight.  She seemed to like it but did get squirmy.  20 pound squirmy weight made me sweat after those 15 minutes!

Food Journal:
  1. 6:30 Breakfast: 1/2c old fashions oats, 2tbsp flaxmeal, 1tbsp chia seeds, splash of milk, cinnamon, 1/6c cranberries.  16oz water
  2. 9:30 Snack: 16oz water, 1/2c cottage cheese, 1/2 orange
  3. 10:30 Baby exercises
  4. 12:30 Lunch: Taco salad (pictured above)= brown rice, black beans, tiny bit of burger (all cooked with taco seasoning), lettuce, red and green bell peppers, salsa.  16 oz water.
  5. 4:00 Dinner:  Left over cheese raviolis with peppers, mushrooms and tomatoe sauce.  16 oz. water.
  6. 9:00 Snack:16 oz water.  String Cheese, red apple

I also bought my heavier weights and stability ball tonight...so will get those in use tomorrow.  I was surprisingly not really that sore this morning, so I definitely need to put the heavier weights to use.  Plus I haven't done the cardio/core workout yet...I may be biting my tongue once I finish that one!  No Pain No Gain!

  1. Thanks for posting your pictures. It is giving me the courage to do the same. I feel like giving up at times and yet today I am glad that I was reminded to think positive thoughts and to say aloud my affirmations! So THANK YOU! :D
