Sound Beginnings

>
"What's been playing on your little rocker's stereo system these days? All kinds of sounds can be heard by your baby in your womb: from air exhaling from your lungs (deep breath now), those gastric gurgles produced by your stomach and intestines, your voice and your partner's (which your baby will be able to recognize at birth), and even very loud sounds such as honking horns, barking dogs, or a wailing fire truck." (whattoexpect.com)
Well I am at the 24 weeks point and have been reading a lot of fetal hearing these past couple of weeks.  So it sounds like it is a great time to be using the Sound Beginnings pre-natal sound delivery device.   Sound Beginnings is a nylon/lycra band with built in high quality speakers to allow expectant parents to play music, voice, or soothing sounds for their unborn baby using any MP3 player.

Included in package:
~one Sound Beginnings fabric band with integrated speakers and a cord extending out of the pocket.
~one splitter to be used with an MP3 player to allow Mom to listen along with baby.
~Five FREE minutes of Sound Delivery Service.
*With Sound Delivery you and all your loved ones can record special messages to be played using the Sound Beginnings to your baby.  You and your loved ones record messages with any telephone, and then the messages are converted to mp3 files for easy download onto your computer/mp3 device to be played through the Sound Beginnings.

Using the Sound Delivery service is such a great way for not only Mom but other family members to share in the bonding of the baby through sound and voice.  I have not used this yet, as I am trying to figure out what exactly I would like to record.  I am thinking this is a great thing to have the baby's long distance grandparents record a message and have the baby able to hear their voices.  I am also thinking of maybe sharing one of my kids favorite books.

I love that you can play any type of sound or music and you have on your mp3 player to the baby in a safe way.  You just simply plug your mp3 player into the cord that is attached to the Sound Beginnings band, press play on your mp3 player and it plays the music at a safe level for the baby(no more than 85 decibels of sound at maximum volume.)  If you want to listen to the music with the baby, you can simply plug your headphones into the splitter.  It was so simple to plug in and play, and the device does not require any extra batteries(just having your mp3 charged is enough).

The band is so comfortable too.  I have worn it under and over my clothes and love the soft feeling with it against my skin.  I have not used it a real lot yet as it is recommended for use during the third trimester and I am almost there. Sizing was right on for me. They offer two sizes(and three colors) going by your pre-pregnancy pants size. I still have plenty of room for my band to stretch to fit throughout the pregnancy, yet it stays in place well right now.

disclosure:  I received a free Sound Beginnings from creative baby for review.
