I am going to be realistic here and not say I am not going to eat that candy in the fridge....I just know I cant do that. So my goal this week is to not eat too much at once and to continue eating the good stuff like my oatmeal for breakfast and my fruits and veggies.
I am also going to have a goal to get in 4 days of exercise this week!
We could also try some FlatOut bread which is sponsoring Mamavation this week. I would love to win some of this. They are really good. I have bought them while trying to find healthier lower calorie options for my sandwiches and pizzas. I have used them to make some pizza which was pretty good and to make wraps...which end up huge and I only end up eating half instead of a whole sandwich. They are a great option for cutting calories.
HUGS girl! Just taking it one day at a time. You can do this, even preggo. HUGS
ReplyDeleteTake it one day at a time. Try and make better food choices! You can do it, we have faith in you!!
ReplyDeleteDid I know you wee preggo?!! Hmm if I did I forgot...or I did not know...either way congrats!!! (again maybe) I am sooo happy for you!!

Hi there. I look forward to getting to know you better through Mamavation! Being pregnant (while taking care of two active tots) can be (and IS) overwhelming and exhausting - trust me I was just there 7 months ago!! (I have a 4yr, 2yr, almost 7 month old).
ReplyDeleteThrough it all ... make sure you take care of YOU!! :)
Have a great week!
I dont blame you for not having a ton of motivation to work out, I know I didnt all the time when I was pregnant. I hope you have a great week
ReplyDeleteoh Pregnancy cravings, how they got me where I am today. Girl I feel ya, I hope you get motivated to move a little more and eat a little better. It is hard when those cravings hit, just try to balance them with some good stuff too.
ReplyDeleteHey - we all have to take babysteps to our goals!
ReplyDeleteyour first one is to cut down on the amount of junk food. Good for you!
You can do it!
Hope you have a great week
My best advice for not eating the bad stuff is to just not allow it in the house -- that's what I've had to do. If it's here, I'll eat it. Even after all of the Mamavation knowledge and mini-successes, I'll still eat it. I can't even have it around.

One step at a time! A small amount is better that a lot. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteDude! Just throw out the candy! Or give it away! Babies don't need sugar to grow - they need veggies, and fruit and water, and whole grains and proteins! And guess what? Women who exercise have shorter labors and recover much faster! You can do it!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Colleen. Will power and pregnancy are HARD but you will find your motivation. You kind of need to if you want to be able to deal with your daily care-giving duties with ease. I agree with Janice, don't have the junk around the house. You can indulge every so often but for the most part maintain the priority with your diet and exercise. Email me if you want to talk or work on a strategy, I am not an expert but I was just there in your shoes. Kia.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your pregnancy! I love what Kia mentioned in her post above. I've heard that from other women. Good luck this week!!
