Michael Bolton has had a very long career and is back at it with his new album, One World One Love.  The plan for hte new album had two main objectives.  He wanted a collection of memorably uplifting pop songs that sounded fresh without losing the classic Bolton vocal signature.  "The question was how to create something current without sounding vocally or musically like I was attempting to pass myself off as contemporary."  He also wanted everyone to feel good.  "Every song had to make you feel good, because people have enough hardships to think about right now.  They need to feel good. 'Noheartbreak songs' became our mantra". 

On this record, he’s collaborated with a number of exciting talents including award-winning singer/songwriters Lady Gaga and Ne-yo.  In 2008 Bolton met a young fan and budding artist.....Lady Gaga!  When they got in a studio in LA Bolton told her, "if this is gonna work it has to slay people".  She immediately shot back "you murder my heart!"  ....."Murder My Heart", is one of the standouts on this new album, co-written with Lady Gaga who also sings back up.

Michael Bolton will also be embarking on a 6-month World Tour with stops across the US and Europe through September of 2010.

I really enjoyed this album.  I remember listening to Michael Bolton quite a bit in the 90s...and was not let down with his new album.  I thought the album was contemporary, yet was an easy listening style with the unforgettable Michael Bolton voice!  He didnt let you down when he said "They need to feel good"...as they are definitely songs that make you feel good!
