This past year was the first time I have actually stuck with a new years resolution! Last year I vowed to exercise and lose weight...and weight I have lost!!! I will officially weigh in on Monday, and you can check that out on my
Wii site. I am around 45 lbs lost for the year, I believe. I have been using the Wii for exercise mostly using the wii fit, but more recently loving the wii fit plus and the easports active more workouts. These have made it possible for me to stick with exercising as they are fun and easy to use right in my home! Along with this I have been trying to add it more natural exercise by staying busier. I also have changed my eating habits. There have been times I havent done so good through out the year, but I have stuck with it. It has been slower going the last 6 months than the first 6 months, and even after the last couple weeks of indulging in the holiday dishes...I feel like I will definitly be back on track! So in the past year I started out at 229lbs....way overweight! Last I weighed myself I was down to 185.5 I was wearing size 2x shirts and very tight 18 pants. I am now in regular sizes. I am down to size 14 pants and XL and even some L size shirts! One thing I hated before was trying to buy a winter jacket. It is hard finding plus size jackets. I was very excited when I was able to buy a size large jacket this year! I even feel like I am giving others advise and feel like a healthier person. I am learning a lot about nutrition and exercise with the many reviews I have done. I owe so much to the support of my family, friends and online friends! I know I could not have done this without the Wii...that is what I owe the biggest shout out to! I am happy that I am inspiring other family members too!
This years resolution is pretty much the same. I want to be stricter and stick with my goals and not give into temptations as much as I have in the past year! I want to keep exercising and try to increase the intensity of my workouts. I want to not just lose weight but build muscle, and get healthier through nutrition also. I have really been trying to go with whole grains and real foods. I am really trying to limit the processed foods. So my goal is to find healthier options on many foods and to step up the whole diet and exercise all together! I always wanted to get down to a size 12...and I can not believe I am only one size away from that. I am hoping by 2011 I will be even lower than that...but more hoping that I will just be healthier!
I hope everyone is enjoying the reviews and fitness friday posts. I am trying to do posts on here that are geared more towards that. Like I said before...you can find my weight loss results and thoughts on Wii games on my other site. I do Mii Mondays almost every Monday on how my week has been. I am going to try to do this more ritually and more thorough.
