About the book:
Charlie and Mama Kyna is based on story and illustrations from international award winning film, Going Home , by Diana Rumjahn.  This heartwarming tale is about three stuffed animals who are living in a little orange tent outside Mrs. Cupcake's Bakery.  Charlie, the frog, is homesick and decides to go home.  Leo, the lion, and Joe, the giraffe, are Charlie's best friends.  The three journey far to find Charlie's mother.

About the author:
Diana Rumjahn earned a bachelor's degree in social science from San Francisco State University where she currently works at the College of Creative Arts.  She wrote and directed the film "Going Home" which has screened at venues worldwide.  Rumjahn resides in San Francisco and is currently at work on film and book projects.

My Review:
This is a cute story about getting homesick and having some new friends.  This would be a cute story having the stuffed animals to accompany it while it is read, seeing it is about stuffed animals.  I actually expected the book to be more about the journey getting home, but it was more about being welcomed back home.

  1. I'm always looking for new books for my boys and we have a TON of stuffed animals, so this sounds like a fun one to check out!
